Chapter 5

TALLULAH

Finally, Tallulah got what she had been wanting since the day Rae walked in for her first job interview.

Tallulah hadn’t personally spoken to Rae until the second round of interviews, but she had watched from afar during the first. The way she walked. The little smile when she was complimented. Tallulah had been in lust with her from that moment.

It was those past few months that may have transformed it into love, not that she was willing to call it that.

Around the time she broke up with her ex, wasn’t it? That’s when Tallulah realized she might have a chance with her favorite bodyguard. Of course, she took her time before letting the flirtations loose. The woman was grieving her breakup, after all. Tallulah was not anyone’s rebound. The only way Rae was coming into her bed was through a healthy decision made with great use of conscience. A relationship was the end goal, assuming Rae was game for it.

Tallulah sure as hell was. That only made it better when she finally got to kiss those primrose-colored lips.

At first, Rae did not grace Tallulah with the fervor of a woman grateful for the opportunity. Something Tallulah was not used to, since she usually took to bed women who had been searching half their lives for a presence like hers. Or fans. Let’s be real. Some of them were fans. Tallulah didn’t know if Rae watched the show. Was she more into pure of body Eliza, who didn’t understand sexual innuendo if it hit her over the head? Or was she looking for the real-life Tallulah, who took pole dancing lessons from retired strippers and wasn’t a stranger at BDSM balls around the west coast?

Eventually, Rae relaxed against the couch, hands clasping Tallulah’s spread thighs as breath left their lips.

“I’ve been waiting so long to tell you this.” Tallulah’s smirk descended the length of Rae’s throat, toying with the buttons to her silk shirt. “You have such a bangin’ body. Tell me, who do you work out with? Who’s your trainer? I might have to ditch mine for yours.”

Heavy-lidded eyes batted. Rae was far from present as Tallulah unbuttoned that shirt and sucked her breath through her teeth – her darling wore a sports bra. Very sensible. Quite comfortable. An absolute pain if she wanted to leave her kisses all over those breasts and gently bite the nipples she knew must already be hard for her. I can work with this. She’d begin with rubbing her own chest against Rae’s, hoping that would entice the jacket to fall and the silk shirt to slip away from their grasp. We have this room for as long as we want it. We can stay here until long past the club closes. Not that they would need to do such a thing.
